    • Actually, I processed this way to make it look the way it often does here in the desert: Harsh light, washed out colors. I tried it in black and white, and it actually didn’t look as stark as it does now. I usually try to bump the saturation in my desert photography, but I’m starting to go in the other direction, depending on my subject and the story I’m trying to tell.

    • Thanks. I’m happy with how it came out. Upping the saturation has its place (and I see a lot of desert photographers that do it effectively. So does black and white, but in this case neither worked, so I pulled back.
