Family Shoot: Greene
My friend Matt approached me during the summer about doing a family shoot as a birthday present for his mom. It took some time and wrangling of schedules, but we were finally able to pull it off. I love this family. Laughing comes easy to them, and it is clear they adore each other.
Here are a few from the shoot.
We had a lot of fun, even when the four of them would get into a deep discussion and I’d have to wave my hand and remind them, “Hello! Photographer! Over here!”
Here and There
Ride 4 RAVE, October 18th.
Nevada
Nevada is a nursing student at UNR and a transplant from a farm in upstate New York. She is a wonderful young woman. She approached me a few days ago about doing a shoot with her and as I had some ideas I wanted to try out, it was a perfect collaboration. We spent about an hour and a half in the natural light studio yesterday, and I’m quite pleased with the results. Here are just a couple.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Refraction
This is a photo I posted back in 2012 for my 365 Challenge. I think it works for the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge for October 17th.
Waiting
Last Saturday I had the honor being the official photographer for the 4th Annual Ride for RAVE. Northern Nevada RAVE Family Foundation exists to “provide respite for families with special needs children while training high school volunteers to work with these very special children.” (link)
It was a beautiful autumn day and, of course, I took a LOT of photographs and am up to my eyebrows getting them processed and uploaded to the gallery. Here is just one. More to come.

An Autumn Walkabout
Some photos from a short walk I took the other day. I often go to this place and seem to find something interesting each time I do.
