I noticed a number of the aspens in our sub are not doing well, but they don’t show those particular signs. You might want to try your extension service (http://www.unce.unr.edu/)
Our tree guy dislikes them, calling them junk trees . . . and he also said they are susceptible to all sorts of things, and typically don’t last more than 8-9 years.

From what little I’ve seen, some can last much longer . . . Mine are going an about that time-frame, and they seem to be doing well.
I guess we’ll see.

Nope. Not leaf miners. We’ve had them, and these are not the same. That was the first think I thought, but upon examination, nope.
