Oh no! I wish I hadn’t read disperser’s comments! 🙂 Because now I see the screaming.
I had a completely different view before I saw his comments. Let’s see if I can recapture what I was originally thinking. The first thing that struck me about this image was the delicious light and the softness of the background and edges. So effective here. I also really like the details that we can see on the stem.
To see, or not to see, that is the question:
Whether ’tis Nobler in the mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of inspired insight,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of misconceptions,
And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep
No more.
. . . it looks like it’s screaming in agony . . . poor thing.

Come on!! . . . tell me you don’t see it too?!?
. . . and I prefer . . . odd. Seems less sinister.

Once you pointed it out, yes. I’ll likely see it that way from now on!
Twisted is good.

. . . and the stem . . . it looks positively mean! Perhaps it’s what took a bite out of the apple.

Love the comments. You’re going to have to rename it the screaming apple.
