I’ve been busy all day working on the photos that I took at The Amaz!ng Meeting, and tending to chores around the house, so I haven’t had as much time to get creative as I would have liked. However, I’d popped my 50mm lens on my camera yesterday, so I though I’d keep it on while shooting today. Maya proved a semi-willing subject. I shot this with very shallow depth of field.

The day got away from me, but I wanted to play with my lights anyway. I got this little vise from our HR director. I thought it would be a useful tool to hold reflector cards (and it is). But today I gave lighting it a go. I lit it from camera right with my Speedlite using an umbrella and a diffuser panel. To the left, a white poster-board bounced some of the light back onto the vise.
For fun I also shot our Maneki-neko.
Omigosh! Finally, something right up my alley! You all know how much I love silhouettes. I even managed to shoot one at The Amaz!ng Meeting.
