A year of self – Not slacking, but distracted

In case you haven’t noticed, my Year of Self 365 project has taken a bit of a hit in the past few days. I’ve been more than wee bit distracted by my recent trip to the cardiologist and surprise discovery that I’ve been in continuous atrial fibrillation since January 3rd. Much consternation all around at the doctor’s office, and a plan of treatment is now in place. I do hope you will forgive me that I haven’t had much of a mind for photographing myself.

I should be back on track very soon.

Maybe a sweet photo of Maya will help!

A year of self #66 – Scoliosis

Yes, I am sitting up straight.

If you have a young daughter, make sure she is screened at around age 12 or so, and if needed, treated before the damage is irreparable.

A year of self #65 – Au naturel

No makeup, plenty of texture. I see a bit of my grandmother’s face in mine, and that is not a bad thing.

I realize I am a day behind, and I hope to get caught up by posting a second image later today (after I get the groceries bought and the house tidied up).

A year of self #64 – A bit of a goofy shot

Sorry all. Nina’s recovery from her surgeries* last Tuesday has been rougher than I would have liked, though she seems to have turned a corner this morning (hoping!), my self-portraits have been pushed to the back burner.

Here’s a weirdly distorted image of Jezebel and me. Although her meow makes her seem larger than she is, she’s really not bigger than me.

*Cherry eye repair; teeth: cleaned and a couple of extractions; nails; removal of a mass on her hind end (waiting for the biopsy results is killing me).
