A year of self #66 – Scoliosis

Yes, I am sitting up straight.

If you have a young daughter, make sure she is screened at around age 12 or so, and if needed, treated before the damage is irreparable.

  1. No daughter . . . or son. I had rickets when I was young, and have a deformed chest cavity with diminished lung capacity. I’m also 4-5 inches shorter than males in the family, and slightly bowlegged.

. . .so, in addition to testing, make sure your kids get enough vitamin D.
