Is that a low-key treatment? I ask because I’m on a laptop and I don’t know how the photo is supposed to look (couldn’t calibrate it, so I worry about how my photos look on other people’s screens).
On my screen, it looks a bit dark which mutes the texture of the leaves.
By the way, just out of curiosity, which program are you using to simulate film?
Straight out of camera. I shoot in both RAW and JPEG and for the beginning of the challenge, I’m just exploring the camera, so my first images will be jpg straight out of camera with no edits. I’ve got 362 days to go to expand my process.
For this project, right now, default settings. I am shooting manual (not letting camera decide that for me), but I’m starting with the camera, as it is, then will expand as I master it. Make sense?

The film simulation comes with the camera. Image is SOC.

Ah. Ok. Are you also using defaults for camera settings (contrast, sharpening, etc.) Or do you have custom settings?
