It occurs to me it might be worth exploring further photoshop manipulation to remove some of the symmetry, especially in the ‘non-subject’ areas, to introduce an element of doubt in the viewers mind?
Yeah, this was absolutely my first time trying this and I just grabbed a photo that lent itself to the technique. I would have liked the food bowl to look more symmetrical, as well as wishing there were no wrinkles in the towel.
Maybe worth experimenting with some cloning.
I guess these occasional explorations of possibilities within images help to build our experience, providing a library of potential potential so to speak when we’re out looking for pictures. (I’ve even started to keep an eye open for shots that might fit the header of my blog…. sad I know, but anything to keep the photographic mind ticking over!)
