My understanding is that you will likely never have the subject completely in focus, though that is the goal. It is not easy, that’s for sure, and I guess the question arises for the photographer, how important is this particular skill to them? How much energy do they want to expend to master something they may use only once in blue moon? I’d like to get a decent handle on it, but others may not find it to be their cup of tea. For instance, I really don’t care to work hard on HDR, though some people absolutely love it and pursue it with a passion. Some people love Macro, others, not so much. To quote the King of Siam: Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera!
Nicely done Carissa, I like how sharp the car is but for me the best part of the image is the way you captured the movement in the wheels yet you roughly see the 6 spokes.
You should try birds . . .

Great result. I always struggle with panning. I’m never happy with my results.

I guess that’s what makes the world an interesting place. It would be pretty boring if we all liked the same things, did the same things, etc.

Thank you. I like that the wheels are clearly round, as well. 🙂
