Dear nia, we were never in any danger as it was about ten miles from us. It looks like about 1,000 acres burned but no homes or structures were threatened. I think it is almost out this morning.

fantastic shot Carissa, but I wouldn’t have a fire that big so close in sight..we’ve had a fire once in the family and I hope to never experience that again… it actually made me a bit scared of fire…

Joanna, it was actually about ten miles away. I used a tripod and telephoto lens to capture this shot. And there was a river between us and the fire, little to no wind. No danger, but I did have some fun with my camera!
