Lots of birds!
I don’t know what is stuck to the one fella’s beak. At first I thought it was a bird, but it’s not. Appears to be some kind of large barnacle.
That’s all for now. I’ll post more of the lake and surrounding real estate later. Gotta get back to work. Lunch is over.

Great photos. I particularly like the goose flying just above the water.

Thank you. I’m very happy with how that one came out.

Also a nod to the Canadian Crapper . . . er . . . Goose.
The bump may be because it’s breeding season for the White Pelican. I saw something like that on the ones at Lake Barr (although those photos did not come out well because of the distance.

Both your photo and what I saw at the lake here show a contour different than what is shown in the picture found at the link.
However, I’m pretty sure, having seen your photo, that it must be a growth since the shape of the one I saw here was the same as the shape of the one in your picture.

Ok, that flickr photo is more like what I saw. Thanks.

Now that I’ve researched it (thanks to you), it appears it can have some variety in its size and shape.

Carissa, I really enjoyed looking at this set of photographs. I can’t pinpoint what it is exactly but there is something really calming about these images. I think it must the light and water of the images, but there is something else, too. Very nice!
