I just didn’t post many of them.
Flowers from a Get Well bouquet in January. I had a hysterectomy . . . pathology report came back clear, thank goodness.

I played with my Fujifilm X100. A lot.

I lightened my hair and got new glasses.

We went camping and ate S’mores.

2018 was a major election year in Nevada and we Democrats were very active. As a county party leader, in addition to getting asked to photograph events a lot, I was particularly busy.
A teeny-tiny smattering . . .

US Senator Jeff Merkley (Oregon)

Jacky Rosen, our new junior United States Senator.

US Senator Kamala Harris (California)

We marched and registered voters and Got Out The Vote.

And we voted.

January 1, 2019 – New 365 project.
In the meantime, here’s Nina on Christmas Day 2018.

She’s ten. I can hardly believe it. But the white on her muzzle, and the grizzle across her face show the march of time.

Buddy… just a few days ago.

Nearly 13 years old, his age is definitely catching up with him. He has nearly lost all his hearing, and his eyes are smokey with age. He has Geriatric Onset Laryngeal Paralysis Polyneuropathy (link) and not only is it visible in his unsteady gait, but even at rest the the wasting of his muscle mass in his hind end and odd twist of his paws are clearly evident. He often drags his knuckles when he walks. He no longer tries to sit – he just can’t trust his hind legs – and getting into a prone position is a slow process – painful for those of us observing, but not to him, thankfully. Ever watch an old person navigate a chair? That’ll give you a good idea of the care with which he lays his body down. He is not in any pain, he’s just getting weaker.
He is still as loving and devoted to us as ever.
And we to him.
I realize my posting has been sparse, but I’ll get back to you all soon.

Love this little girl . . .
