A year of self #34 – Floater

A little experiment. I’ll probably be playing with this some more in the coming year.  (Apologies for looking so expressionless – it was late and I needed to get this done and get to sleep).

Weekly Photo Challenge: Depth

My submission for this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge.

At midday.  A strangely deserted sidewalk in downtown Reno.

A year of self #33 – Shadow and Serendipity

My shadow in the foreground is echoed by the woman in the background and again by the pedestrian behind the fence.

Old Southwest

Reno’s oldest neighborhood is located south and west of the Truckee River. Old Southwest should not to be confused with Southwest Reno which is the area southwest of Reno-Tahoe airport.  I love this neighborhood.

Mt Rose School

“The Mount Rose Elementary School, at 915 Lander St. in Reno, Nevada, is a historic Mission/Spanish Revival-style school that was built in 1912 and extended in 1938. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The school is “a rare example” of Mission Revival style surviving in the Reno area.” (Wikipedia)
