I’m down in southern California for the weekend. Dad is recovering from surgery to remove his left foot. He came through the surgery well, and the physical therapist is working him hard. We hope that he progresses quickly and gets into his first prosthetic in six weeks or so. In the meantime, plans are afoot to remodel his tiny bathroom to make access easier for him.
I hope to get to the ocean on this trip. You all know how successful I’ve been at that on previous visits!
I learned to ride a bike on this street – back when those palm trees were not much taller than the cars parked at the curb.

Sorry to hear about the surgery, but glad it went well . . .
. . . and I smiled at the bike-riding clarification.

I just noticed my unintentional pun about remodeling too. Oy.

I noticed that right away (duh!), but was unsure if intended or not . . . thought it best not to comment on it.
