Sweetie inherited two railroad lanterns from his grandfather. This one is an Adams & Westlake Illinois Central Railroad lantern and is a hundred years old. I tried different lighting and backgrounds.
On another note, I’ll be leaving tomorrow around noon to go to L.A. Dad isn’t doing well, and Mom is at the end of her tether, as you can imagine.



Great texture . . . weird how we like old things. More so when there is an emotional attachment, but for me it’s not necessary for it to have special meaning to appreciate the functionality and design of days past.
