The sad part is regret can become a crutch of sorts, keeping people in their comfortable zone.
“I wish I could have . . .”
“Why don’t you now . . . ”
“Oh no, it’s too late now”
But there is also the fear of sucking. In a way, the works of others sometime intimidate people from embarking on the journey. They look and say “my work is not as good as that” and “I could never do that!”, forgetting others traveled the same road . . . the difference being those people took that first step, and then another, and another . . . .
