I shot this tonight at our Reno Freethinkers meeting. It was the light hanging from the ceiling illuminating the stairs to the second-floor room we were in. I shot it looking straight up from the stairwell.

The clipped one is just a cropped portion of the whole one. I like them both, for different reasons. I love how the “flower” came out. Though there was light in the place, very little showed up. I cloned out a couple of tiny lights around it, so the effect is very nice. And I really liked the texture of the lamp itself, hence the cropped version. And I think I figured out what WP does to the pictures. I noticed tonight when they are uploaded WP “crunches” them. Off to upload these to my Flickr account.
