Sweetie helps out

I’m doing an online photography workshop with the incomparable CJ Nicolai. I pressed my husband into service tonight.  I had him sit in the doorway between our bedroom and the backyard, facing outward into the yard. No lights on or windows open to illuminate the room behind him. I love my sweetheart’s expression here.

Headshot session: Kim!

Kim is a wonderful woman who specializes in intercultural understanding. She has been conducting diversity and cross-cultural workshops and classes at the university level for the past 10 years, and is in the process of updating her web site and branching out into other endeavors.

We had a wonderful session, and she is thrilled with the results.

Chasing the Light: A guest room and a small tract house window

The bed barely fits in the 10′ x 10′ bedroom and the 40″ high by 60″ wide window that starts 40″ from the floor faces east.  The sun competes with the neighbor’s house and 30-year-old neighborhood trees. You work with what you have.

A bit of sweetness

My apologies for neglecting this blog. I’ve been pretty busy this past week, and haven’t had much time to pick up my camera except when it’s been required of me. I hope this little one makes you smile. That baseball is a foul ball that almost hit his mommy.  His daddy caught it in the nick of time, and that’s how they met. Diehl-6
