This doesn’t look like much, but added to the snow and rain we’ve received so far this “water year” (which began in October),  we’ve now had the wettest water year in the 124 years they’ve been keeping records.  More snow is expected this weekend.

This evening I stopped by our local trophy store to place an order for our annual employee award. I show up once a year for our lone 8×10 plaque, but sports trophies are really what keeps this establishment in business.

2016_365_51We trekked to Carson City in the pouring rain today to attend the Senate Committee on Legislative Operations and Elections committee hearing for SJR2 which “Ratifies the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.”

Nevada has not yet ratified this amendment, and we are hopeful that during this session we will finally do so. It is time.
