Weekly Photo Challenge: Kiss

This week’s photo challenge.  There are all kinds of kisses . . .

There are the kisses of young love . . .

There are the kisses of a love that has stood the test of time . . .

Kitty kisses are tentative and filled with whisker tickles  . . .

Dog-to-dog kisses are often misconstrued by stupid humans . . .

Doggie to human kisses can be a bit messy . . .

Maya – 9/26/2012

I really liked this shot as it came out of the camera. However, in post production I utilized a technique with Gaussian blur and layered erasures of the blur to expose Maya and pop the catch-light in her eye.

Day 334 – 50mm Maya

A very shallow depth of field photo of Maya tonight (shot under lamplight at f/1.8, 1/250s,  ISO 1600). It was a very busy day at work, and this evening we had a late dinner out with family. I came home to do some laundry and pack for my trip to L.A. tomorrow afternoon so I can spend a few days with my dad, who is recovering from another surgery.  I’m waiting for the load to finish drying and then I’ll be stumbling off to bed.

Day 327 – Thank You

On this Thanksgiving Day, along with my gratitude for my family, my friends, my critters, and my health, I am grateful for all of you who encourage and inspire me. May your days be filled with love.

Day 315 – Me, the cats, and a stool

While cleaning out Sweetie’s office today I came upon a brand new canvas drop cloth.  I thought it might make a good backdrop, so I pinned it to the wall, grabbed the stool and set up some lights.

Maya was quite cooperative.

My turn!

Jezebel would not sit on the stool, so I got down on the floor with her.

One last one of me.
