New Vantage Point

I’ve taken to leaving the living room blinds open halfway during the day so the dogs can watch the goings on in the cul-de-sac. Buddy has discovered that the sofa gives him a comfortable vantage point.

Nina likes to stand on her hind legs with her front paws on the window sill or just dance on the love seat opposite the sofa.

Mellow, most of the time

But he does worry a lot.  Here he’s got his eye on the back fence where his two nemeses live and come out to antagonize him. Of course, he can give as good as he gets, and between my two and the two on the other side of the fence who sound just like our two, it can get a bit noisy at times.

Monday? Already?

The weekend goes too fast.

This was taken in our backyard this last Friday. Surprisingly, even though it’s been plenty cold for it, the grass hasn’t turned brown yet. I think the layer of snow that sat on it for two weeks had something to do with that.

Drowsy

One day it’s freezing, the next day the temps are in the mid-50s or higher. The weather doesn’t feel even close to what it should this time of year. (Though we are supposed to get snow tomorrow)

Buddy isn’t missing winter at all.
