Yours truly is getting a two-page spread in a local magazine (more on that when it is published). The concept involved three models, and one of them asked for a few shots by herself after the shoot. I was happy to oblige.
Nevada is a nursing student at UNR and a transplant from a farm in upstate New York. She is a wonderful young woman. She approached me a few days ago about doing a shoot with her and as I had some ideas I wanted to try out, it was a perfect collaboration. We spent about an hour and a half in the natural light studio yesterday, and I’m quite pleased with the results. Here are just a couple.
Sunset portrait session with the lovely Mariya, last Thursday evening at Mayberry Crossing Park in Reno, NV.
Candid during a portrait class at Jeff Ross’ studio last Wednesday night.
Readers may remember the lovely Pheenix. She was one of the models from a portrait class I took last May. She and I have stayed in contact and about a week ago she approached me to do another shoot. We had fun last Wednesday night at Hatch Reno. I’ll be posting more from this shoot in the coming days.
#1 rule at a shoot with me: If you bring a flowing, chiffon dress, I will ask you to leap!
This is Justice, a wonderful young lady I had the pleasure of shooting on Sunday afternoon.
Last Friday night, I had the opportunity to do a water shoot at Anicia Beckwith’s studio, Pixella Productions. Anicia is an amazing professional photographer based in Reno who offers studio space and workshops in her “spare” time. Her very large studio is northwest Reno was set up for us to shoot models in water.
