Day 327 – Thank You

On this Thanksgiving Day, along with my gratitude for my family, my friends, my critters, and my health, I am grateful for all of you who encourage and inspire me. May your days be filled with love.

Day 326 – Dawgs

It’s the day before Thanksgiving and I got off work a bit early.  So I hit the grocery store (two of them, actually), came home, put the groceries away, and there was still enough light out to head out to the backyard with the pups.  I used off-camera flash for fill. Shot with my 85mm.

Day 324 – Nature’s Abstract

Out and about this afternoon I was taken by the dark branches against the brighter ones against the slightly cloudy sky.

Day 322 – And I thought pets were a challenge!

I did a family photo shoot yesterday.  I need the practice, they need the portraits, so it all works out.  The two little girls are 17 months and 3 years old.  While I could talk to the three-year-old, the seventeen-month-old had her own priorities.  It was a lot of fun, and I hope that the family will be happy with some of the shots.  PS – I learned a lot yesterday.

Here are a few that made the final cut.

Day 321 – Outside the Sparks Theater

We met some friends tonight for dinner and a movie. Sweetie and I beat our friends to the theater which gave me an opportunity to snap some shots with my iPhone and the Hipstamatic app. This was my favorite and was taken looking out from the theater toward John Ascuaga’s Nugget on Victorian Avenue.

By the way, the movie we saw was “Lincoln,” which is a fantastic film. Steven Spielberg has done it again. The story and acting are superb, and the cinematography was incredible. The film had cool tone and felt to my eyes like a textured vintage photograph. I highly recommend the film. If you can, go see it. Do not wait for the DVD.
