Day 283 – I managed to get outside today! I’m fascinated by these shrubs. I hope you don’t mind a repeat of them. I just love how the afternoon sun makes them shine. Edited to add: A friend came to the rescue and identified this. It is alderleaf mountain mahogany. I saw some of these while walking about in Juneau. I still need to figure out what they are so that I can buy some. Nice shots. LikeLike Reply
Thanks. I have a horticulturist friend. I should ask her so you and I can both be freed of our ignorance. LikeLike Reply

One of the advantages of having friends. I was looking at the mahogany plants since other ones have some similar features, but could not find a matching photo. . . . and now out ignorance has dissipated like early-morning fog struck by the light of day. LikeLike Reply
Thanks. I guess I should quit calling them shrubs as they are rather tall. Trees. They are trees. But they are so dense and their foliage is rather low, so I keep thinking of them as shrubs. LikeLike Reply
